COVID-19

COVID-19, also called Coronavirus, usually is found in animals, such as wild felines and carnivorous animals. The virus spreads to different parts of the animals body infecting them and making them dangerous to humans. The deadly virus has been slowly making its way to different parts of the world.
It started in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China which started a panic to the citizens. It spreads quickly from person to person because, for humans, it is transmitted through the air by coughing and sneezing. According to NBC News, 99% of the nine-thousand cases are confirmed to be in China. The virus has been found in various countries including: the United States, Canada, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Japan, China, Nepal, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka,United Arab Emirates, Philippines, South Korea, Australia, Belgium, Taiwan, and Singapore, Egypt, Afghanistan, Croatia, Israel, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Switzerland, Austria, Bahrain, Brazil, Greece, Iran, Iraq, North Macedonia, Pakistan.
Forty-three countries have reported cases of the virus and it continues to grow each day.
It was believed to have started because people consumed infected exotic animals. It spread very rapidly because China is densely populated with many people living in close proximity.
The first symptoms are fever, cough, and a shortness of breath according to The Center of Disease Control and Prevention. The World Health Organization, WHO, has declared this disease as a global health emergency, and has put China under quarantine. They have even put people who are travelling away from China in quarantine as well. WHO is trying to keep the disease under control, but it is having a difficult time as it is highly contagious and evolving everyday, which is making it unpredictable. Scientists are seeking a cure, but are struggling due to the rapid morphing of the disease.
