Are Leos Really Attention Seekers?

Being in the limelight may be the worst for some, but not for Leos. Known to be the loud and confident zodiac sign with a craving for an audience, Leos seem to be made for stage and screen. All they have to do is say a few lines, pose, then bamm stardom! Famous Leos include President Barack Obama, Meghan Markle, Sandra Bullock, and Joe Jonas. Think of a favorite actor or musical artist, it’s most likely that they were born between July and August. Some say Leos are courageous and some say they’re insecure. The question that remains is do these lions seek attention or does attention seek them.
Leos are straightforward, cheerful, and dignified. They have been titled as the most extroverted sign of the zodiac and they are notorious for their roars and drive to be successful. Arnold Schwarzenegger was born on July 30 and has been quoted as saying, “For me life is constantly hungry. The meaning of life is not simply to exist, to survive, but to move ahead, to go up, to achieve, to conquer.” This would explain why he became such an accomplished individual, actor, and role model throughout his entire career.
For many people it can be hard to be out in front or an audience or in public in general, but for Leos, they seem to be the ones who are not. Being in front of a camera or in front of the spotlight can bring out their inner shine. Other lions of the zodiac may think differently about this statement like college student Lauren Pitorri who was born on July 23. She said, “I’m considered a Leo, which is kind of weird because I don’t really have those features. But when I was younger, I did want to be a singer and I did my high school’s musical twice in my junior and senior year. It was so much fun even though I was [part of] an ensemble.”
Even though she denies the zodiac trope of being very eccentric, she cannot deny her inner desire for the joy and passion a spotlight can bring. Even if Pitorri is given a small role in a play or not belting her own solo, she is grateful nonetheless and will show what she can do. She continued by saying, “I just love music and singing even though I’m also very shy!”
While it may be true that the zodiac lions seek attention, there is so much more to them. It is possible that while they can like being the center of attention some of the time, they are really caring and considerate when it comes to the feelings of others. It’s crazy to think how one compliment has the power to make us feel good. So the next time we see a friend or even a random student give a compliment, Leo or not, he or she may say one back to us. Not only will it make the person being complimented feel like a million bucks, but the person giving the compliment will feel something wonderful too!
